Shaping Your Own Role and Career at Kielo

Our Concept Manager Anna ended up at Kielo by chance and, over the years, has built both her own career path and also Kielo’s brand and services.
A role shaped by strengths and passions – Concept Manager Anna’s career has grown alongside Kielo
Kielo’s Concept Manager Anna Väisänen is responsible for how Kielo feels in Jyväskylä. A customer experience professional, Anna joined Kielo by chance and, in over a decade, has witnessed Kielo’s growth from a local property company to a nationwide provider of good work environments.
A native of Jyväskylä, Anna originally graduated as a business administration professional and then continued her studies to become a teacher of Swedish, German and Russian. As a parent of young children, a student exchange abroad was not possible, so a new direction was needed. Anna started working at the reception desk at Innova in 2011, then progressed to different roles, first as a reception supervisor and later as a service manager.
Kielo acquired the Jyväskylä premises in 2017, and within just six months Anna and her team began to build the foundations of Kielo in Jyväskylä – high-quality service and practical technical solutions that fill the needs of clients of a full-service building. As Kielo expanded, Anna’s role evolved into Concept Manager, and she now leads teams of nine people in Jyväskylä and Lappeenranta.
“My responsibility is to ensure that services run smoothly and our clients in Jyväskylä and Lappeenranta can focus on their own business. I handle things like tenders, partnerships and practical implementations. In my role, I get to influence how tenants’ needs are met and that they get on – together with my team, I come up with various ways to strengthen client satisfaction. These can be major things like leasing, moving and renovations, or practical matters and everyday highlights, such as events for our clients.”
As Concept Manager, Anna also follows industry and development needs. Whereas previously those looking for premises focused mainly on space efficiency, now people increasingly want versatile services, multi-purpose spaces and places to meet.
Anna values the core of Kielo – here, work is done from person to person. Colleagues and clients are the best part of the job. Anna also emphasises the importance of networks and partners. In the team, everyone brings their own expertise, and clients are served with the best local knowledge. A shared goal and objectives guide the work in the right direction.
Although chance led her career to the property sector instead of the classroom, Anna’s training as a language teacher is still helpful: with a diverse partner network and an international client base, extensive language skills are an advantage in both customer service and collaboration.
“Just yesterday, I used my Russian skills to chat with employees of our local partner responsible for property maintenance!”
At Kielo, you can grow into roles that utilise your own strengths. The job allows you to use your creativity, courage and negotiation skills in many ways. Good networking abilities and the courage to put yourself out there are also valuable qualities for a Kielo employee. Anna recommends Kielo for professionals for whom customer service comes from the heart. Her aim at work is to bring inspiration, enthusiasm and support for the team’s success. Based on thanks and feedback, that aim has been met.
